Outside-in Viewers

The following information applies to FNO Professional Version.  The 30-day trial version can also use these features, but once the trial is over they will be disabled.

Document & Image Viewing Features with "Outside-In" Viewers

Whatever your document type, the File Notes Organizer 3 viewer is likely to handle it.

Not only are the standard Microsoft Office documents able to be viewed, but almost all other document types can be too.

Whether it be WordPerfect, PDF, Corel Draw, Paint Shop Pro, Illustrator, PhotoShop, AutoCAD... they can all be viewed without the need to have the application on your PC.

Crop and Annotate ANY document.

Any document, whether textual like Microsoft Word, or graphical like PowerPoint or Corel Draw can be viewed in "page mode" where a snapshot of each page of the document can be viewed and treated like an image... so it can be cropped, highlighted, and have sticky notes attached to it.

All these changes can be stored either as a note against the file (so they are seen when the file is selected) or as a bookmark note, so the mark-ups are only viewed when you select the bookmark

Click on image to see how a Corel Draw image has been cropped and annotated. The menu of annotation options is also shown.

Store all your document comments in one note.

When you use "text mode" you can scroll through the whole document, adding markups (highlights and sticky notes) where ever you want.  When you click "save as bookmark" all these mark-ups will be saved together, so clicking on the bookmark will bring them all back, and even position the document where you left it.

All your mark-ups are stored into a normal FNO3 note. No changes are made to the file.  The changes are dynamically applied in the viewer when you select the bookmark note.

Click on image to see how a Word document has been marked-up, with the changes saved as a bookmark note.

The Simplest Workgroup Review Tool.

It cannot be simpler for a workgroup to collaborate on creating a document.  By using FNO3 each member of the workgroup can view a document on review and either add comments directly onto the page, or use the multiple notes fields available.  Then they can save their comments as bookmark notes which can be viewed by others in the team.

By using customized notes fields in the file list a full document review system can be created, with review dates, status and comments all added.

Click on image to see how an AutoCAD diagram has been marked-up, with the comment saved as a bookmark note.

Make a Slide Show from ANY Document.

Imagine a slide-show that starts with a cropped section from an Excel Spreadsheet.  Followed by a cropped paragraph from a Word document, followed by a page from a PDF document, followed by a JPG photo.  This is so simple with FNO3.  Just make bookmark notes of any page (or section of page) of any document, then select the bookmark notes and click the "slide-show" button.

When you run the slide-show the bookmarks are used to dynamically create the images you view, without altering the original files.  Gone are the days of needing to create a presentation by cutting and pasting existing information into PowerPoint !

Click on image to see how a sticky note is made.  You just drag the mouse to make a rectangle, and then click on it to add the text.
